Description
The procedure concerns the notification of establishment and operation of standalone dietetic clinics and multi-disciplinary dietetic units. The interested party (natural or legal person) shall electronically notify the competent authority of the establishment and operation of a standalone dietetic clinic or multi-disciplinary dietetic unit.

The applicant must have TAXISnet codes.
In cases of multi-disciplinary dietetic units, the premises of the unit must have specially configured spaces for each of the activities being carried out within them, as well as an emergency exit. The unit must feature the following spaces:
1. group exercise room with suitably positioned equipment and an area of at least 50 m2,
2. beauty parlour with an area of at least 40 m2,
3. resting room with an area of at least 20 m2,
4. waiting room with an area of at least 20 m2,
5. cosmetics room with two toilets and two showers,
6. cloakroom,
7. men’s and women’s changing rooms,
8. fully equipped clinic to provide first aid,
9. dietitian’s office,
10. administration office and
11. staff rest area.
Standalone dietetic clinics must have an area of at least 19.50 square meters.
The premises must be lawful in terms of their construction and use as a standalone dietetic clinic or multi-disciplinary dietetic unit, and meet all the legal requirements for a main-use area in order to operate as a standalone dietetic clinic or multi-disciplinary dietetic unit, according to the current Building and Construction Regulation, the Fire Protection Regulation, the general and specific urban planning provisions in force from time to time, as well as the building specifications set out in the legislation specific for the activity in question.
The unit’s spaces must comply with health and safety requirements (natural and artificial lighting, ventilation, air conditioning, fire safety, etc.).
The interested party must electronically declare the persons designated as scientific directors for each activity of the unit via the ‘notify business’ application.
The scientific director of the dietary services provider must have obtained the corresponding attestation of exercise of the occupation of Dietitian – Nutritionist.
The scientific director of multi-disciplinary dietetic units providing beauty services must have obtained the corresponding attestation of exercise of the occupation of Beautician.
The scientific director of standalone dietetic clinics - multi-disciplinary dietetic units (regarding dietetics – nutrition matters) must hold a degree in Nutrition – Dietetics issued by a Higher Educational Institute or Technological Educational Institute, or a decision of professional equivalence issued by the Independent Department for the Implementation of European Legislation (ATEEN) of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, or a foreign degree accompanied by a certification of its equivalence and correspondence, issued by the competent recognition services of the Hellenic National Academic Recognition and Information Centre (DOATAP) or the Institute of Technological Education (ITE).
Where exercise services are provided at the unit, the competent scientific director must hold a degree in Physical Education.
Where beauty services are provided at the unit, the competent scientific director must hold a degree in Nutrition – Dietetics issued by a Higher Educational Institute or Technological Educational Institute, or a decision of professional equivalence issued by ATEEN of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, or a foreign degree accompanied by a certification of its equivalence and correspondence, issued by the competent recognition services of DOATAP or ITE.
