The procedure concerns the issuance of a licence for the establishment and operation of Creative Employment Centers for Children and Individuals with Disabilities (KDAP-AMEA) and is addressed to interested citizens, businesses, legal entities, who meet the appropriate requirements.

Appointment of a Person in Charge (Manager)

The applicant must prove that the KDAP-MEA building has been conceded to him/her

Certificate of (active) fire protection from the competent Fire Department in accordance with the applicable Fire Regulations

Status of the designated Person in Charge as far as his/her criminal record is concerned.

The Person in Charge must not have been irrevocably convicted of any felony or any of the misdemeanors of theft, embezzlement, fraud, extortion, forgery, defamation, counterfeiting and intentional bodily harm, breach of a drug law or of a crime against the mores and have not been deprived of his civil rights as a result of a sentence for any criminal act.

The applicant must own or rent the building of the KDAP-MEA

The Center must have at a minimum the following spaces: a. a multiple-use room, b. a room of occupational therapy, c. a social worker – occupational therapists office, d. a resting room, e. a space for the preparation of meals, f. a special servicing and storage room (where wheelchairs and their accumulators are stored). For every 15 individuals there shall be 2 WC with a vestibule for disabled persons, as specified in detail in the design instructions “Designing for Everyone”

The Building Permit must mention the use of the building or space for which the permit is requested or in any case this use shall be indi-cated in the Identity of the building, according to art. 5 of Law 4067/2012 (G.G. 79/A/2012)

In case no response has been provided before the above deadline, it is considered that the application of the interested party has been implicitly accepted (tacit approval) and the license has been issued, according to par. 4 of article 14 of Law 3844/2010 (GG 63/A/2010). The applicant, in the aforementioned case of tacit approval, may request a relevant certificate from the administrative authority responsible for issuing the act, in accordance with paragraph 4 of article 10 of 3230/2004 (Government Gazette 44/A/2004).
