Description

The procedure is the first part for the final issuance of the Chief Technician of Oxygen-Welder A class licence. More specifically, the parts of the process are: 1. Authorisation of participation in examinations for the purpose of obtaining a licence of Chief Technician of Oxygen-Welder A class - the final stage is the issuance of a Certificate (Attestation) of Submission of Supporting Documents – and 2. Issuance of the licence of Foreman of Chief Technician of Oxygen-Welder A class - the final stage is the issuance of the relevant licence.

Authorisation to participate in examinations for a licence of Chief Oxygen-Welder Technician A Class: The applicant must identify his/her personal details when submitting the application

Authorisation to participate in examinations for a licence of Chief Oxygen-Welder Technician A Class: a) The applicant must have obtained the Attestation of Announcement of Welder Technician or b) The applicant must have obtained the licence of Chief Welder Technician B Class or c) The applicant must have obtained the licence of Chief Arc Welder Technician A Class or d) The applicant must have announced the profession of Welder B Class or e) The applicant must have announced the profession of Arc Welder B Class or f) If at the time of issue of PD 115/2012 the applicant was working as an arc welder technician, he/she must hold one of the accepted domestic or foreign degrees - with the relevant equivalence for the latter or g) If the applicant is a citizen of an EU member state and has acquired his/her professional qualifications in another Member State, either as a self-employed or as an employee, these professional qualifications must have been recognized by the competent authority of the country

Authorisation to participate in examinations for a licence of Chief Oxygen-Welder Technician A Class: If the applicant has obtained an Attestation of Announcement of Chief Welder Technician B Class, then if he/she holds a degree from: - A university-level engineering degree – and is a registered member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) - in an engineering specialty falling under the provisions of art.1 of Law 6422/1934 or a degree in Chemical engineering or Metal Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering or Mining Engineering - A Technological Educational Institute (TEI) degree in the specialty of Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Energy Technology Engineering, or Shipbuilding, then he/she must have acquired 3 months of previous work experience in welds subject to heavy strain If the applicant has obtained a licence of Chief Welder Technician B Class, then if he/she holds a degree from: - A Vocational School (EPAS) in the specialty of Chassis or Metal Structures or Shipbuilding, then he/she must have acquired 10 months of previous work experience in welds subject to heavy strain. or - A Vocational High School (EPAL) in the Mechanical Engineering Sector, specialty of Mechanical Installations and Structures, or - A Technical Vocational High School (TEL) in the specialty of Mechanical Engineering or - A Technical Vocational School (TEE) B Cycle in the specialty of Mechanical Engineering then he/she must have acquired 12 months of previous work experience in welds subject to heavy strain or - A Technical Vocational School (TEE) A Cycle, in the Mechanical Engineering Sector or - A Technical School of the Mechanical Engineering specialties group then he/she must have acquired 14 months of previous work experience in welds subject to heavy strain or - A middle school – and has reached the age of 18 years then he/she must have acquired 18 months of previous work experience in welds subject to heavy strain. If the applicant has obtained the Attestation of Announcement of Welder Technician, then if he/she holds a degree from: - A Vocational School (EPAS) in the specialty of Chassis or Metal Structures or Shipbuilding, then he/she must have acquired 12 months of previous work experience in welds subject to heavy strain. or - A Vocational High School (EPAL) in the Mechanical Engineering Sector, specialty of Mechanical Installations and Structures, or - A Technical Vocational High School (TEL) in the specialty of Mechanical Engineering or - A Technical Vocational School (TEE) B Cycle in the specialty of Mechanical Engineering then he/she must have acquired 18 months of previous work experience in welds subject to heavy strain. or - A Technical Vocational School (TEE) A Cycle, in the Mechanical Engineering Sector or - A Technical School of the Mechanical Engineering specialties group then he/she must have acquired 24 months of previous work experience, out of which at least 12 months in welds subject to heavy strain. or - A middle school – and has reached the age of 18 years then he/she must have acquired 36 months of previous work experience, out of which at least 24 months in welds subject to heavy strain. If the applicant is a Chief Arc Welder Technician B class, then he/she must have obtained 6 months of previous work experience in welds subject to heavy strain as a Chief Welder Technician B Class. If the applicant of any of the above types has attended one or more special Vocational training programs, the corresponding prerequisite service may be replaced up to 25% by those, after the issuance of an Attestation of Announcement or a valid licence For holders of degrees of corresponding specialtirs obtained in Greece from schools which after the issue of PD 115/2012 have been recognized as equivalent to the aforementioned degrees, the required previous service depends on the equivalence recognized. For holders of a degree of a corresponding specialty obtained abroad that has been recognized as equivalent to the aforementioned degrees, the required previous service depends on the equivalence recognized.

Authorisation to participate in examinations for a licence of Chief Oxygen-Welder Technician A Class: If the applicant has obtained a degree after the issuance of the relevant licence, he/she must prove it by submitting the relevant degree.

46. In case of inability to present the above-mentioned supporting documents, as a result of the destruction of records or employment records or from another cause, the following may be accepted as evidence: Booklets of insurance stamps, as well as any other public document, from which the employment of the applicant in a job position with the same or related object is deduced and the interested party must substantiate in his/her application the reasons for which he/she is unable to provide the necessary supporting documents. One or more supporting documents are submitted that cover as a minimum the required total duration of previous professional experience. Approval of participation in exams: In case of expiration of the above deadline of 15 days, it is considered that the application of the interested party has been implicitly accept-ed, according to par. 4 of article 14 of Law 3844/2010 (G.G. 63/A/3-5-2010). The interested party in the above case of tacit approval may request the relevant certificate from the Issuing Authority, in accordance with par. 4 of article 10 of Law 3230/2004 (GG 44/A/2004).

Approval of participation in examinations: With the completion of the present procedure, the applicant is issued a "Certificate of submission of supporting documents", according to article 5 par.4 of the PD 112/2012, for the Authorisation for Taking an Examination to Obtain the Oxygen-Welder Chief Technician Licence of Class A (2nd part). The aforementioned certificate is issued within an exclusive period of 15 days from the receipt of the request and the necessary supporting documents to the service responsible for issuing the final act, if the application is complete (time is reserved for the Issuing Authority).
