Description

The procedure for obtaining the licence as an architect of a class consists of three parts which are: *First part- Approval of participation in examinations by the examination board of the competent region for the acquisition of a Class Α welders licence with the final stage being the inclusion of candidates in an examination programme. *Second part - Participation in examinations of the competent region for the acquisition of a Class Α welders licence with the final stage being the transmission of certificates of successful examination. *Third part - Issue of a Class A welders licence with the final stage being the receipt of the licence by the applicant.

Conditions

For the purpose of authorising an examination for the purpose of obtaining a licence for an architect of an electric welder of Class I-first part: (a) The applicant must have obtained the licence of the master welder of class B and have the relevant experience in welding subjected to severe stresses depending on the accepted qualification held either in Greece or abroad with relevant equivalence and speciality of this or (b) If the person concerned is a national of an EU Member State and has acquired his/her professional qualifications in another Member State, either as a self-employed person or as an employee, he/she must have his/her professional qualifications recognised by the competent authority of the country (Department for the Implementation of European Legislation) and be granted a professional licence by the relevant Region.

To authorise participation in the examination for a class A master welder licence: Where the person concerned has obtained a Class B Master Welders Certificate of Announcement and has: - A degree of Diploma in Engineering - with registration at the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) - of an engineering specialty that falls under the provisions of article 1 of Law No. 6422/1934 or Chemical Engineer or Metallurgical Engineer or Metallurgical Engineer or Mining Engineer or - a TEI degree - upon obtaining their degree - in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Energy Technology Engineering or Naval Engineering must have 3 months experience of welding subjected to severe stresses. If the applicant has obtained a master welders licence class B and has: - a degree from a vocational school (EPAS) specialising in bodywork, or bodywork technicians, or metalwork technicians or shipbuilding technicians, he must have 10 months experience of welding subjected to severe stresses, or - a Vocational Lyceum degree in the Mechanical Engineering Sector, specialising in Mechanical Installations and Construction or a Technical Vocational Lyceum degree in the Mechanical Sector or a Technical - Vocational Training School B cycle degree in the Mechanical Sector, must have 12 months experience in welding subjected to severe stresses or - a Vocational Lyceum degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering, specialising in Mechanical Installations and Construction or a Technical Vocational Lyceum, Mechanical Engineering Sector or a diploma of Technical - Vocational Training School, of 2nd cycle, Mechanical Engineering Sector, must have 12 months of experience in welding subjected to severe stresses or - a degree from a Technical - Vocational Training School (T.E.E.), cycle A in the Mechanical Sector or a degree from a Technological Vocational School in the Mechanical Specialities group, must have 14 months experience in electro-welding subjected to severe stresses; or - a certificate of completion of compulsory education (subject to the condition that he/she has reached the age of 18 years), he/she must have 18 months experience of welding under severe stress. If the person concerned has obtained the Welding Technician Announcement Certificate and has:- a degree from a Vocational School (EPAS) specialising in Bodywork, or Bodywork Technicians, or Metal Construction Technicians, or Shipbuilding Technicians, must have 12 months experience in welding subjected to severe stresses or - a degree from a vocational secondary school (EPAL) in the field of engineering, specialising in mechanical engineering and construction; or a diploma from a Technical Vocational Lyceum in the field of Mechanical Engineering or a diploma from a Technical-Vocational Training School, 2nd cycle, in the field of Mechanical Engineering, must have 18 months experience in welding subjected to severe stresses or - a degree from a Technical - Vocational Educational School, 1st cycle, Mechanical Sector or a degree from a Technological Vocational School, Mechanical Specialities Group, must have 24 months experience of which at least 12 months must have been gained in welding operations subjected to severe stresses, or - a certificate of completion of compulsory education (subject to the condition that he/she has reached the age of 18), he/she must have completed 36 months work experience, of which at least 24 months must have been in the field of welding subjected to severe stresses. If the person concerned is a master welder (class A), he must have completed 6 months work experience in the field of welding subject to severe stresses in the capacity of a master welder (class B) (extension). If the person in any of the above categories has attended a specific vocational training programme, the relevant required experience may be replaced by up to 25% of the attendance of one or more specific vocational training programmes, after the issue of a certificate of notification or a valid licence. If the person concerned holds a degree or studies from a national school with an equivalent title and corresponding specialisation, which are equivalent and corresponding to the qualifications in the above cases, he/she must have acquired experience corresponding to the degree. If you hold a foreign (EU or non-EU) qualification in a relevant field of study, if it has been recognised as equivalent to the qualifications mentioned above, your professional experience will be equivalent to that recognised. In general, for the purpose of obtaining a welders licence, one third (1/3) of the experience required in each case may have been gained in the field of welding.

For the purpose of approving the participation to an examination in order to obtain a obtaining a Master Craftsmans Welding Licence of A class: If the person concerned has obtained a degree after the granting of the licence, he/she must prove it by depositing the corresponding qualification.

11In the event of failure to produce the above-mentioned supporting documents, which may be due to the destruction of files or work records or for other reasons, the following shall be accepted as evidence: stamp books of the public social security institutions, as well as any other public document, which will show the employment of the interested person in a job with the same or related subject and the interested person must state in his/her application documented reasons why he/she is unable to provide the necessary supporting documents. One or more supporting documents covering at least the total length of the required period of professional experience must be submitted. If the experience was gained in another EU Member State, the relevant supporting documents must be checked for authenticity by the competent authorities of that Member State.Certificate of previous service

At the stage of the procedure for admission to the examinations, if the 15-day deadline for checking the completeness of the supporting documents has elapsed without effect, the applicants application shall be deemed to have been tacitly accepted, in accordance with par. 4 of Article 14 of Law 14. 3844/2010 (Α 63). The interested party in the aforementioned case of implicit approval may request the relevant confirmation from the Issuing Authority, pursuant to par. 4 of Article 10 of Law No. 3230/2004 (Α 44). Also, in case of rejection of the application where the person concerned considers that his/her application was not accepted without a legitimate reason or in case of unjustified delay by the administration, he/she can appeal to the ordinary courts against the act or omission of the administrative authority.
