Description

The procedure is the first part for the final issuance of the Plumber Chief Technician licence. The parts of the process are: 1. Authorisation of participation in examinations for the purpose of obtaining the Plumber Chief Technician licence - the final stage is the issuance of a Certificate (Attestation) of Submission of Supporting Documents – and 2. Issuance of Plumber Chief Technician licence - the final stage is the issuance of the relevant licence.

Conditions

1st part: Authorisation to take an examination for a Plumber Chief Technician licence a) The applicant must have announced the profession of Plumber Technician or b) If the applicant exercises the activities mentioned in article 3 of P.D. 112/2012 without having the licence prescribed by the PD 38/1991, he/ she must hold the relevant degree or c) If the applicant is a citizen of an EU member state and has acquired his /her professional qualifications in another Member State, either as a self-employed or as an employee, his /her professional qualifications must have been recognized by the competent authority of the country.

1st part: Authorisation to take an examination for a Plumber Chief Technician licence The applicant must hold a degree from: - An Institute of Vocational Training (IEK) in the specialty of Heating and Plumbing installations or Heating Installations or Oil and Natural Gas Technology, and have acquired 12 months of previous experience in jobs of 1st or 2nd Specialty or - A Vocational School (EPAS) in the specialty of Heating-Plumbing Installations and Maintenance of Central Heating according to Law 3475/2006 or in Heating and Plumbing installations or - A Vocational High School (EPAL) in the specialty of Heating Installations or Oil and Gas Technology as per Laws 4186/2013or 4386/2016 or - A Technical Vocational School (TEE) A Cycle in the specialty of Heating and Cooling Installations or - A Technical Vocational School (TEE) B Cycle in the specialty of Cooling and Heating installations or - A Technical Vocational School (TES) in the specialty of Plumbing and Heating Installations or - Apprentice Schools of OAED as per Law 1346/1983 in the specialty of Heating/Plumbing or - Lower Technical Schools as per Legislative Decree 580/1970 or equivalent schools in the specialty of Plumbing Installations or - Apprenticeship Schools of OAED as per RD 3/1952 and Law 212/1969 in the specialty of Heating/Plumbing and have acquired 24 months previous work experience in work of 1st or 2nd Specialty or - Technical Vocational High School (TEL) degree in the specialty of Heating and Cooling Installations and have acquired 18 months previous work experience in work of 1st or 2nd Specialty or - A Level 1 Vocational Training Institute (IEK) in the specialty of Heating Installations or Water Supply - Sewerage Installations and have acquired 60 months of previous work experience in services of 1st or 2nd Specialty In case the applicant has attended one or more special Vocational training programs, the corresponding prerequisite service may be replaced up to 25% by those, after the issuance of an Attestation of Announcement or a valid licence. The required previous service for holders of a degree obtained abroad (in or out of the EU) in a corresponding specialty that has been recognized as equivalent to the aforementioned EPAL or ΕPΑS or IEK degrees, may be reduced in correspondence to the recognition granted. Those who at the time of issue of PD 112/2012 were practicing the activities referred to in article 3 without the licence prescribed by PD 38/1991, must have acquired the previous work experience corresponding to their degree.

10In case of inability to present the above-mentioned supporting documents, as a result of the destruction of records or employment records or from another cause, the following may be accepted as evidence: Booklets of insurance stamps, as well as any other public document, from which the employment of the applicant in a job position with the same or related object is deduced and the interested party must substantiate in his/her application the reasons for which he/she is unable to provide the necessary supporting documents. One or more supporting documents are submitted that cover as a minimum the required total duration of previous professional experience. In case the previous experience was acquired in another EU member state the corresponding supporting documents must be validated for their authenticity by the respective competent authorities of that Member StateProof of Previous Service

In case of expiration of the above deadline of 15 days, it is considered that the application of the interested party has been implicitly accept-ed, according to par. 4 of article 14 of Law 3844/2010 (Government Gazette 63 / AD / 3-5-2010). The interested party in the above case of tacit approval may request the relevant certificate from the Issuing Authority, in accordance with par. 4 of article 10 of Law 3230/2004 (Government Gazette 44 / AD / 11.02.2004).
