Conditions
1. The applicant must have:
* a vocational training diploma at post-secondary vocational training level public and private Vocational Training Institutes (IEK)’ in the specialty of ‘dental assistant’ under Law 2009/1992 (Government Gazette, Series I, No 18), as amended and in force;
or
* a diploma from a secondary technical and vocational school in a relevant specialty, or an equivalent qualification, for those serving or having served in military dental clinics or dental clinics of military hospitals under a five-year compulsory military service;
or
* equivalent degrees/diplomas (for Part 1 of the procedure).
Applicants must have passed the exams for Part 1 of the procedure (in order to proceed to Part 2 of the procedure).
The applicant must have notified the relevant Regional Unit where the dental clinic is located of the start of their traineeship (for Part 1 of the procedure).
The traineeship must have been carried out successfully. In particular, graduates of:
* Vocational Training Institutes (IEK) are required to complete a six-month traineeship in a dental clinic, whether public or private, provided that they have completed the six-month optional traineeship during their studies at the IEK;
* Vocational Training Institutes (IEK) are required to complete a one-year traineeship in a public or private dental clinic, provided that they have not carried out the optional six-month traineeship during their studies at the Vocational Training Institute (IEK);
* secondary technical and vocational education must have completed a traineeship of at least two years in a dental clinic (for Part 1 of the procedure).
The applicant must not have been convicted of a criminal offence (for Part 2 of the procedure).
Applicants must provide evidence that they are in good health (for Part 2 of the procedure).

Rules for non-response by the competent authority and legal consequences
Tacit approval
After expiry of the aforementioned deadline, the applicant may operate the laboratory in question freely Article 3 of Law 3919/2011 (Government Gazette, Series I, No 32). In the event of tacit approval as described above, the applicant may request the issuance of the relevant certificate of operation from the Administrative Authority competent for issuing the deed, in accordance with Article 10(4) of Law 3230/2004 (Government Gazette, Series I, No 44).
