Description

The procedure concerns the recognition of private Bodies dealing with the certification of the application of the standard documents (AGRO standards etc.) prepared, issued and/or recognized by the Hellenic Agricultural Organization "DIMITRA" (ELGO-DIMITRA).

The candidate Body must legally have a Head Office in Greece or in another EU member state.

The candidate Body must have and Official Codified Statute, possibly with amendments, and Internal Regulation of Operation; it must prove its official legal representation.

It must be ensured that the conformity assessment of the operation/ holding controlled is carried out, for the needs of supervision, in accordance with the requirements of the standardising documents and guidelines issued and/or recognised by ELGO-DIMITRA for the field of registration.

Compliance with this decision and the guidelines and regulations issued and/or recognized by ELGO-DIMITRA must be demonstrated.

The candidate Body must have an Accreditation Certificate from the Hellenic Accreditation System (ESYD) or another Accreditation Body, member of the European Accreditation Multilateral Agreement (EA MLA), for the field in which the Body applies for registration in the ELGO DIMITRA register. Bodies that do not have an Accreditation Certificate for the field of registration in the Register, may exceptionally be granted temporary reg-istration for a maximum period of one (1) year, provided they meet the rest requirements and have designed and installed a quality system according to the requirements of EN 45011 and/or EN 45012 and/or ISO/IEC 66 standards, for specific field of registration. Within the above time period, the aforementioned Bodies must submit the Accreditation Certificate to ELGO-DIMITRA.

The inspectors - auditors - experts employed shall be registered in the Registry of Inspectors of ELGO-DIMITRA with specialisation in the field of registration. Conditions for inclusion in the Register, by category, rights and obligations will be determined by a decision of the Minister of Rural Development and Food. Until the activation of the said Register, the inspectors - auditors - experts shall be evaluated by the two-member Recognition and Supervision Committee of Article 6 of JMD 267623/2007.

Fees / Imposts

  • Recognition Fee € 4,800 * plus VAT. For each additional registration field, the required man-days are increased by 50%, and the cost is increased by the same proportion (MD 132519/2011).
