Description

The procedure concerns the issue of an operating licence for Elderly Care Units of profit nature by natural and legal persons. It is addressed to companies and legal persons.

The applicant must hold a TAXISnet code for the electronic submission of the application.

The doctor in charge of the elderly care unit must have obtained a licence to practice a profession.

The doctor in charge of the elderly care facility must be registered with the Medical Association of the place of operation.

The person concerned should indicate that the Elderly Care Unit operates in accordance with the applicable provisions for Elderly Care Units.

The Unit must have modern fire safety means according to the ‘New Building Fire Safety Regulation’ or in accordance with the instructions of the relevant Fire Service for existing buildings prior to the application of the Rules of Procedure.

After the approval of the plans in terms of functionality, the complete file shall be submitted to the competent Urban Planning Service (or Urban Office) for the issue of the Construction Licence (including approved functionality plans). For existing buildings, which have a legitimate building licence, the same procedure shall be followed, but a new building licence shall be issued by the competent Office for Urban Planning in accordance with the provisions of Article 5 of the GOK of Law 1577/1985, as amended and valid.

If the time limit expires without action, it is considered that the application of the interested party has been implicitly accepted and the authorisation has been issued, in accordance with par. 4 of Article 14 of Law 3844/2010 (Α΄ 63). The person concerned may request a relevant certificate from the administrative authority responsible for issuing the act, in accordance with par. 4 of Article 10 of Law 3230/2004 (Α΄ 44).
