Description
The procedure involves actions taken by the operator of non-primary hotel accommodation (Furnished Rooms and Apartments for Rent (FRAR), Tourist Furnished Residences, Tourist Furnished Villas), before the start of the undertaking’s business operation. The notification procedure has replaced the Special Operation Mark. The planned inspection of the lawful operation of the accommodation facilities shall be carried out on an ex post basis by the competent authorities.

Conditions
To submit a notification through ‘Notify Business’, the applicant must have TAXISnet access codes.
Existence of a building permit or construction permit issued by the relevant local authority or other competent authority:
For sites which have been conserved, in accordance with Articles 5 and 6 of Law 3843/2010 (Government Gazette, Series I, No 62), a copy of the application confirming that the site conservation procedure has been completed shall be kept at the facility, in accordance with Article 6(5) of Law 3843/2010 (Government Gazette, Series I, No 62).
For constructions or uses that have been subjected to the provisions of Article 24 of Law 4014/2011 (Government Gazette, Series I, No 209) and the provisions of Law 4178/2013, the certificate of completion of the procedure, in accordance with Article 2 of Decision 41498/26.9.2011 of the Minister for Administrative Reform and e-Governance, the Minister for the Environment, Energy and Climate Change and the Minister for Justice, Transparency and Human Rights (Government Gazette, Series II, No 2167) or the certificate of payment of 30% of the total fine from the IT system of the Technical Chamber of Greece shall be kept at the facility.
The applicant has not been irrevocably convicted of a criminal offence.
In the case where the facility is environmentally licensed and in accordance with the terms and conditions for the management and disposal of liquid waste laid down in the decision approving the environmental terms or in the standard environmental commitments and is connected to the sewerage network of the local authority concerned, proof of connection to that network must be kept at the facility.
Where necessary, in accordance with Chapter A of Law 4014/2011 and Annex VI to Decision No 1958/2012 (Government Gazette, Series II, No 21) of the Minister for the Environment, Energy and Climate Change, a decision approving the environmental terms (AEPO) must be issued for projects or activities falling under category A of Annex VI to Decision No 1958/2012 (Government Gazette, Series II, No 21) of the Minister for the Environment, Energy and Climate Change, as in force, or a declaration of inclusion under Standard Environmental Commitments (SEC) for projects or activities falling under category B of that Annex, in compliance with the procedure stipulated by Article 3 of Joint Ministerial Decision No 59845/2012 (Government Gazette, Series II, No 3438).
The active fire safety requirements for buildings are met.

Remarks
The procedure is carried out by the Department of Tourism Enterprises and Professions of the relevant Regional Tourism Service Τhe classification of FRARs is optional. In the case of classification, they must issue a certificate of classification from the relevant Regional Tourism Service within 50 days from the notification of their operation. Since fees are issued according to the number of rooms of each FRAR enterprise, the maximum cost of the fee cannot be calculated beforehand.
