Description
Environmental licensing is the process of assessing the potential impact on the environment of the implementation of projects/activities. This procedure and the decision adopted as a result of the assessment and review shall establish the necessary measures, conditions and limitations to ensure that the project/activity will be implemented in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. In order to carry out new category A projects or activities or to relocate existing ones, an environmental authorisation procedure is required by carrying out an environmental impact assessment (EIA) and issuing a Decision Approving Environmental Conditions (DAEC).
