Conditions

The interested party must be a graduate of a State-recognised School of Social Work of Higher Education or of an equivalent corresponding School abroad.

The interested party must not have been irrevocably convicted of a crime, theft, embezzlement, fraud, extortion, forgery, drug offense, intentional homicide, pedophilia, kidnapping or criminal offenses, for crimes of sexual exploitation of sexual life and for profiteering.

The interested party should be a member of the relevant Regional Department of the Association of Social Workers of Greece case 1 of article 110 of L.4488 / 2017 (Government Gazette 137 / Α ’/ 2017).

Tacit approval

In case no response has been provided before the above deadline, it is considered that the application of the interested party has been implicitly accepted (tacit approval) and the profession can be practiced (art. 3 of Law 3919/2011). The applicant, in the aforementioned case of tacit approval, may request a relevant certificate from the administrative authority responsible for issuing the act, in accordance with paragraph 4 of article 10 of 3230/2004 (Government Gazette 44/A/2004).
