In case the interested party is a legal entity, it must document his legal status
The interested body/ applicant (legal or natural person) must not have been irrevocably convicted of a felony or any of the misdemeanors of theft, embezzlement, fraud, extortion, forgery, grievous bodily harm, breach of drug laws or ethical provisions
The interested party / applicant must own or lease the physiotherapy laboratories store/premises
The premises of the physiotherapy laboratory must be at least 70 m2 and must include:
- patient waiting room
- toilet with sink and
- Patient treatment areas, which should be properly arranged to include separate electrotherapy, mechanotherapy and hydrotherapy areas.
In case of co-housing physiotherapists, the total space of the laboratory is increased by 30% of the initially planned for each co-housing physiotherapist
For the building in which the physiotherapy laboratory will be housed, its use for the operation of a physiotherapy laboratory should not be prohibited by the urban planning provisions. The safety of electromechanical installations must be certified
The equipment of the physiotherapy laboratory must include:
- 2 treatment banks
- 1 polybalance
- 1 shoulder wheel
- 1 stationary bike
- 1 electric traction, cervical and lumbar, spine)
- 1 electrotherapy device galvanic, faradic and diadynamic
- 1 ultraviolet and infrared device
- 1 diathermy device
- 1 ultrasound device
- 1 dinosaur
- 1 paraffin bath
- 1 electromassage device
- 1 machine for pruning, hand limb supination and wrist rotation
- hot, cold compresses.
All machinery, tools and instruments must bear the CE mark in accordance with the provisions in force.
The site must meet fire protection rules
The health manager of the laboratory must have obtained the Certificate of Announcement of the profession of physiotherapist and therefore meet the legal requirements for the exercise of this profession
The scientifically responsible employee of the company must identify his / her personal data
The interested party must declare the scientifically responsible persons for the physiotherapy laboratories
The applicant must have a degree:
- of the Higher School of Physiotherapists of the General Hospital of Athens "Vassilevs Pavlos"
or
- of the former Physiotherapy Schools K.A.T.E.E. and K.A.T.E.,
or
- the physiotherapy departments of the schools of health sciences - welfare of the Technological Educational Institutions
- equivalent foreign schools in accordance with applicable law
or
• equivalent foreign schools in accordance with applicable law
or
• Graduates of the Schools or Departments of Physiotherapy of the A.E.I.
In case the interested party is a citizen of an EU member state. and has acquired his professional qualifications in another Member State - either as a self-employed person or as an employee, his professional qualifications must have been recognized by the competent body of the country.
If the person concerned is a legal entity, it must not have been declared bankrupt

Tacit approval
After the expiration of the above deadline, the interested party operates the said laboratory freely (art. 3 of Law 3919/2011, Government Gazette 32 / A / 2011). The interested party, in the case of tacit approval, can request the relevant certificate of operation from the administrative authority responsible for the issuance of the act, according to par. 4 of article 10 of law 3230/2004 (Government Gazette 44 / A / 2004).
