Description

This procedure concerns the announcement of the establishment and operation of a shop of sanitary interest on a seagoing ship. It is addressed to natural and legal persons.

First Stage: The interested person shall not have been irrevocably convicted to a custodial sentence of espionage, dissemination of false news, crimes relative to memos, bribery, oppression, misappropriation of funds, intentional causing a shipwreck, rape, coercion into indecency, seduction, pimping, exploitation of prostitutes, human trafficking, theft, embezzlement, larceny, robbery, extortion, fraud, smuggling, violation of the laws on drugs and the protection of the national currency, of the provisions against illegal fishing with the use of explosives or toxic chemicals, narcotics, corrosives, chemical or vegetal substances, or devices or substances that produce electrical discharges, violation of mandatory law 192/1936 as in force and in any sentence with which even a partial deprivation of civil rights was imposed.

First Stage: The interested person shall not be running away from trial nor be a fugitive.

First Stage: The interested person shall have announced the commencement of operations at the Local Tax Office.

First Stage: Tax clearance certificate of the applicant.

First Stage: The shop shall meet in terms of its construction, premises, height, etc., the terms and conditions laid out by special provisions of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy.

First Stage: The shop shall meet the requirements of the Passenger Accommodation Regulation, as required by the law.

First Stage: If the shipowner or management company has not granted the exploitation of the KYE to another natural or legal person, the appointment of a person answerable to the Market Police and a declaration of acceptance of his/her appointment shall be submitted.

First Stage: If the shipowner or management company has granted the exploitation of the KYE to another natural or legal person, the leasing contract shall designate the person in charge and the appointment of a person answerable to the Market Police shall be available.

First Stage: If the space has been granted to a third person for exploitation, a proof is required showing the granting of the exploitation of the shop, validated by the relevant Local Tax Office (DOY).

First Stage: The applicant shall be a Greek citizen or a citizen of a EU or EEA member-state (with the exception of Switzerland) and the age of the applicant shall be over 18 years, while a legal person shall be established in Greece or a EU or EEA member-state (with the exception of Switzerland) (the above also apply in cases where the exploitation has been granted).

Second Stage: Sanitary fitness of the person who operates the KYE.
