The procedure concerns the granting of licence of a private school to legal persons for the purpose of establishing and operating it legally.

Conditions

Submission of applications to local Directorates of Education only during the first quarter of each year.

Applications shall be lodged/submissioned to the Education Departments concerned; each application shall be accompanied by one application with the supporting documents addressed to Section A of the Service of Private Education and another file with the supporting documents which will be sent by service to the Νational Organisation for the Certification of Qualifications and Career Guidance for the purpose of the physical inspection of the institution applying for the authorisation.

Solemn Declaration under Law 1599/1986 of the legal representative of the legal person with a certificate, if it is in paper form, on the authenticity of his/her signature, in which the legal representative declares, on behalf of the legal person he/she represents, the distinctive title that the latter will use in the private education provider, as defined in paragraph 3(4) of Article 6 of Law 4218/2013 (Government Gazette 268 A). Such a title shall consist of the distinctive title of the legal entity together with the type of education for the provision of which the application for authorisation is submitted.

Solemn Declaration of Law 1599/1986 of the legal representative of the legal entity, with a certificate of authenticity of his signature, if it is in paper form, stating that, (a) he/she has not the status of a public servant, or an official at a legal person under public law or a local authority, (b) has not been convicted or sentenced by final judgment in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the Civil Service Code, (Law No. 3528/2007, A 26), as amended and in force, (c) has not been dismissed from the position of a civil servant or private teacher for disciplinary reasons, (d) has not been imposed the administrative sanction of revocation of the licence to establish or operate for the same or another private education and training institution in the last ten years, (e) has not been imposed on the legal person the administrative sanction of revocation of the licence to establish or operate for the same or another private education and training institution in the last ten years.
