Description
This procedure relates to the announcement regarding exercise of the profession of sports coach by graduates of coaching schools abroad. By virtue of this procedure, graduates of foreign coaching schools are given the opportunity to exercise the profession of sports coach.

About
Τhe General Secretariat of Sports may prohibit exercise of the profession within a 90 day period if the applicant does not meet the legal requirements or if the information they have submitted fails to show that they meet them. After expiry of the aforementioned deadline, it shall be presumed that the applicant may freely practice the profession of coach (Article 3 of Law 3919/2011). In this case, the interested party may request the issue of a respective attestation of competence from the General Secretariat of Sports (Article 10(4) of Law 3230/2004).

Remarks
In the case of persons holding a degree or diploma from a recognised coaching school abroad or the professional equivalent of a degree or diploma from a coaching school abroad, an opinion of the Equivalence Committee (Article 36(3) of Law 4809/2021) is required for recognition of the equivalency and correspondence of qualifications or professional equivalence with the degree or diploma. The procedure is carried out in two stages, with the second stage being set in motion following by a positive recommendation from the Equivalence Committee.
