This procedure concerns the announcement of the commencement of the profession of radio-electrician A (installation, maintenance, repair and manufacturing of radio transmitters and electronic devices of all kinds), without or after examinations. It concern citizens.

Conditions

With or without exams: The applicant shall hold a degree in accordance with the provisions of RD 510/71 (art.2, par.5) and PD 258/2003 (art.2 par.6)

With exams: Possession of a radio electrician B licence

With or without exams: The applicant shall be a citizen of a EU member-state

With or without exams: The applicant shall not be subject to deprivation of rights due to an irrevocable conviction for insubordination or disobedience

With or without exams: The applicant shall not have submitted supporting documents for an announcement to a different Service of the country.

With or without exams: The applicant shall be at least 18 years old

With exams: 5 years experience in radio workshops manufacturing, repairing and maintaining wireless devices or installations of Public Agencies, Organisations or Private companies in general Required to participate in exams

Fees / Imposts

  • Especially for the territory of the Cyclades, an additional fee collected by operating decentralized services in the Regional Units of Andros, Thira, Kea-Kythnos, Milos, Mykonos, Naxos, Paros, Syros and Tinos is imposed, as follows: €21. The fee is payable to the following bank accounts: Alpha Bank - IBAN: GR9601406310631002001000148, National Bank of Greece - IBAN: GR1501104690000046954030063, Piraeus Bank - IBAN: GR5501727100005710052440802. The competent service for information is the Department of Interconnections & Suitability of Cyclades.

If there is no response before the above deadline, then the activity may be practiced freely (tacit approval). The competent authority issues a formal attestation for regarding the legal practice of the activity by the provider /applicant. In cases the submitted documents are not complete, the applicant is informed as soon as possible to submit the pending documents within a new deadline. On these occasions, the deadline of twenty (20) days begins from the re-submission of the pending documents. If cases the competent authority does not approve the practice of the activity due to unmet requirements, then the applicant is informed accordingly as soon as possible (par.6 & 7 of art.14 of Law 3844/2010)
