The procedure concerns the issue of licences for the import of spears, swords, blades, daggers, bayonets, police rods, bows, crossbows and their arrows.

Conditions

The Applicant must be a firearm dealer.

The applicant should not suffer from and not have been hospitalised for a major mental disorder or a serious personality disorder. In the case of a legal person, this condition applies to all representatives and managers in in case of a limited company (SA) and a limited liability company (Ltd.) and partners, in case of a general partnership and a limited partnership.

The applicant must not have been irrevocably convicted of for (a) any misdemeanour prosecuted ex officio and committed intentionally, for which a prison sentence of at least two (2) years has been imposed (b) any misdemeanour provided in the provisions of Law 2168/93 and Law 3500/2006. Also, the applicant must not have been subject of the criminal proceedings: (a) acts punishable as a criminal offence, (b) violations of the laws on drugs and protection of society against organised crime, as well as on terrorist acts, infringements of provisions concerning fishing with the use of explosives or toxic substances and infringements of article 15 of Law 2168/93 (c) acts provided for in the Law 3500/2006.

  • Application for the import to which the following particulars apply: (1) For an individual undertaking: Surname, Name, Fathername, Mothername, date and place of birth, address of residence, ID or passport, date of issue and issuing Authority, profession, telephone and email. (2) For legal persons: Name or commercial name and registered office, as well as the above elements of the legal representative.

The certificate shall be delivered by the doctor, to the person who requested examination in a sealed envelope and shall be valid as long as the licence issued, and shall be lodged only in the event of the expiry of three years from the former; this supporting document shall not be required when the requested authorisation is to be issued within three (3) years of the authorisation, for which all the supporting documents have been submitted.
3A Solemn Declaration according to Law 1599/86 of the interested parties stating that the declaration does not fall under the prohibitions laid down in Article 18 of Law 2168/1993 and that the declarant is not a fugitive or an absconder, in the case of an individual company, or representatives and managers, in case of a limited company (SA) and a limited liability company (Ltd.) and the partners in the case of a general partnership and a limited partnership.Solemn Declaration
