Description

The procedure concerns the notification of the establishment and operation of a Lifeguard Training School; the notification shall be submitted to the competent Port Authority, which is located closest to the place where the school will be operating.

The natural or legal person concerned must be a TAXISnet code holder

It must have been supplied and installed the required equipment of n.e.c. 71/2020.

To have space, which is legally existing in relation to the construction and use as a lifelong learning school, and which fulfils all the legal conditions of the main use area to function as a lifelong learning school, in accordance with the applicable Construction and Building Regulations, the Fire Protection Regulation, the applicable general and specific urban provisions, as well as the building specifications of the legislation specific to the activity (such as 71/20).

To have an insurance policy in force to cover the civil liability of the institution of the activity, the school director and any trained or trained third party.

The natural person involved in the activity or the legal representative of the legal person of the activity, as well as the head of the school, shall not be sentenced to the offences referred to in paragraph (a) of Article 8 of Law 3528/2007 (A'26), as well as to the offences of espionage, smuggling and tax evasion, as well as to an infringement of Law 192/1936 (A'488, or if he has been sentenced to five years since the irrevocable condemnation of the offences and decades since the irrevocable conviction of the felony.

The head of the school must hold a degree in Physical Education and Sports Science (T.E.F.A.A.) with specialisation in swimming or in other wet track sports by a Higher Education Institution - University of the Nationality or a corresponding school of foreigners. In the case of a qualification from institutions outside the EU, a certificate from the Interdisciplinary Organisation for the Recognition of Academic and Information Security (DI.A.T.A.A.) or a corresponding body of a Member State should be required to show that the diploma is equal and equivalent to those awarded by the relevant EU institutions.

The head of the school and the members of the educational staff must be able in medical terms to practice this profession.

During the course of operation of the School, the activity operator must have gathered and maintained in the field of activity the supporting documents required which make available for each audit.

The entity must issue a theoretical and practical training programme.

Where the entity is a legal person, it must be established in the charter that the activity falls within the objectives of the legal person.

    The attestation shall indicate the exact location of the property, the total area of the main area following its annexes, the land use certificate by the relevant Building Service (SOM) and expressly confirm that the site is legally existing - with regard to the construction and use as a maritime education school - and fulfils all the legal conditions of the main use space to operate as a maritime education school, in accordance with the applicable Construction and Building Regulation, the Fire Protection Regulation, the applicable general and specific town planning provisions, as well as the building specifications of the legislation specific to the activity (such as P.D. 71/2020)
