Appointment of a Competent Person.

The Competent Person must not have been irrevocably convicted of any felony or one of the misdemeanours of theft, embezzlement, fraud, extortion, forgery, defamation, counterfeiting and fraudulent bodily harm, drug offences or a crime of moral turpitude and must not have been deprived of his/her civil rights as a result of a conviction for any criminal offence.

The person concerned must own or lease the building that houses the Centre of Creative Activity of Children.

The person concerned must prove that he has been granted the building that houses the Centre of Creative Activity of Children.

The areas that the Centre has to have, as a minimum, are: 1. A desk of activity of 30 sq.m. for fifteen (15) children. Instead of the activity room, the Centre may have a musical and theatrical education room. In this case, the necessary area for the simultaneous employment of fifteen (15) children is forty-five (45) sq.m. 2. A building room of 30 sq.m. for fifteen (15) children. 3. An office of personnel. 4. A storage room of general use. 5. At least two (2) W.C.s per 30 (30) children. 6. One (1) W.C. used by staff of the Centre and escorts of the host children.

The Building Permit must indicate the use of the building or space for which the permit is requested or, in any case, the use indicated in the buildings identity card in accordance with Article 5 of Law 4067/2012 (Α΄ 79). Without prejudice to the second subparagraph of par. 4 of Article 1 of Law 4756/2020, the premises of the Centre may not be used for purpose other than that specified in Article 1, a condition for its licensing is its accessibility for persons with disabilities must be guaranteed.

The premises of each Centre shall be located in areas within a town or settlement plan and in any case within residential areas and shall not be more than fifty (50) kilometres from a State Hospital or Health Centre. The building of the Centre of Creative Activity of Children and, in the case of Centres of Creative Activity of Children that also have outdoor unroofed areas, the boundaries of the outdoor area shall be at least: a) one hundred and fifty (150) meters from: aa) areas designated in the relevant urban planning as areas hosting low and medium noise production activities or as areas of low noise industry - crafts, bb) individual warehouses of medium noise, individual craft and industrial facilities of medium noise, cc) hospitals, b) three hundred (300) metres from: aa) areas designated in the relevant urban planning as high-nuisance activity reception areas or as areas of noisy industry - crafts, bb) individual high-nuisance warehouses and individual craft and industrial facilities of high nuisance, cc) solid waste treatment, storage and disposal sites and solid toxic waste treatment, disposal sites, dd) wastewater treatment and disposal sites (biological designation), ec) casinos, (c) two hundred metres (200) from brothels, (d) a distance from petrol stations for liquid and gaseous fuels at least equal to the distance specified in the relevant legislation for the establishment and operation of such stations from a Centre of Creative Activity of Children and, if such distance is not expressly provided for, from social welfare buildings.
