Description

This procedure concerns the commencement of the activity of both the central facilities and the branches of a Private Employment Placement Agency (PEPA). Concerns citizens, businesses and legal entities.

The natural person submitting the announcement must be a Greek citizen, or a citizen of a EU or EEA member-state, or a Greek expatriate living legally in Greece.

The natural person or the legal representative of the legal person must not have been irrevocably convicted of intentional homicide, fraud, embezzlement, theft, forgery, trafficking, smuggling or for crimes against morals, violation of the provisions on drugs, insurance and tax offences.

To have been preceded the commencement of activity.

Documentation of legal exercise of the activity (required for each branch).

Tax clearance

The PEPA should have a professional space, privately owned or leased for its purposes.

The PEPA should have an autonomous professional space which should comply with PD 16/96 (GG 10/A) (minimum safety and health stand-ards in the workplace).

Adequate active fire protection

Hiring of PEPA director (full or part time) – Duties of Director can equally be performed by the owner of PEPA or in case of a legal person by a member / partner

In case no response has been provided after the deadline of 90 days , it is considered that the profession is practicing freely (article 3 of Law 3919/2011-GG 32/Α΄/02-3-2011) The applicant, in the aforementioned case of tacit approval, may request a relevant certificate from the administrative authority responsible for issuing the act, in accordance with paragraph 4 of article 10 of 3230/2004 (Government Gazette 44/A/2004).

Remarks

Within three (3) months from the receival of the announcement, the competent Authority may forbit practice of the profession, in case legal prerequisites are not met or if that does not occur from submitted evidence.
