Description

The procedure concerns the notification of establishment and operation of beauty parlours. The interested party (natural or legal person) must electronically notify the competent authority of the establishment and operation of a beauty parlour.

Where the interested person is a legal person, it must document its legal existence and any changes to its corporate structure.

The premises must be lawful in terms of their construction and use as a beauty parlour, and meet all the legal requirements for a main-use area in order to operate as a beauty parlour, in accordance with the current Building and Construction Regulation, the Fire Protection Regulation, the general and specific urban planning provisions in force from time to time, as well as the building specifications set out in the legislation specific for the activity in question.

The beauty parlour premises must include the following: • waiting room, • parlour, • implement cleaning and sterilisation area, • changing rooms with lockers, • bathroom with a bathtub or shower and toilet. The above spaces may also form part of a dwelling, provided the parlour premises are not used to serve the needs of the dwelling and are isolated from any dwelling, even via a locking door.

The parlour spaces must comply with health and safety requirements (natural and artificial lighting, ventilation, air conditioning, fire safety, etc.).

    Tacit approval

    Approval to participate in examinations: If the 15-day deadline for checking the completeness of the supporting documents lapses without action, the interested party’s application shall be considered to have been tacitly accepted, in accordance with Article 14(4) of Law 3844/2010 (Government Gazette, Series I, Issue 63). In the event of tacit approval, as described above, the interested party may request issuance of the relevant attestation by the licensing authority, in accordance with Article 10(4) of Law 3230/2004 (Government Gazette, Series I, Issue 44).
